First Year

Family and Community Medicine (Orientation) - 4 weeks
Gynecology - 4 weeks
Inpatient Medicine Teaching Service - 8 weeks
Maternity Care - 4 weeks
Inpatient Night Float - 6 weeks
Outpatient Family Medicine - 4 weeks
Pediatrics (inpatient) - 4 weeks
Pediatrics (outpatient) - 4 weeks
Emergency Medicine - 4 weeks
OMM – 2 weeks
Dermatology - 2 weeks
Surgery - 4 weeks
Elective - 2 weeks


Second Year

Family Medicine Teaching Service - 8 weeks
Outpatient Family Medicine - 12 weeks
Pediatrics (Inpatient) – 4 weeks
Inpatient Night Float - 6 weeks for Lewiston residents/2 weeks for Rumford residents
Maternity Care - 4 weeks
Orthopedics/Sports Medicine - 4 weeks
Rural Family Medicine (away) - 4 weeks
Selective* - 4 weeks
Electives - 6 weeks


Third Year

Outpatient Family Medicine - 16 weeks
Night Float - 4 weeks (Chief Residents 3 weeks)
Orthopedics/Sports Medicine - 4 weeks
ICU - 4 weeks
Rural Emergency Medicine - 4 weeks
Outpatient Pediatrics - 4 weeks
Selective* - 4 weeks
Elective - 7 weeks (4 weeks can be away which means no call or clinic time at CMMC)


*Selective is a two block intensive over the PGY II/III curriculum. You can choose one of the following selective areas of study: Maternity Care, Elder Care, Emergency Medicine, Hospice & Palliative Care, International Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Medicine (In and/or Outpatient) or Women's Health
***Serve as a service leader along with an inpatient hospitalist and two interns, a sub-I MSIV and MSIII core clerkship student
