We recently celebrated our 25th year of preparing family physicians to practice
in rural America.
Our graduates leave CMMC prepared to practice the full scope of Family Medicine,
in areas as remote as northern Maine and Alaska and as urban as San Francisco
and Tampa. Our goal is to provice an emotionally supportive and intellectually
stimulating environment in which to learn and develop your Family Medicine
skills and your own practice style.
Prior to joing the residency in 2001, as the Program Director, I taught CMMC
residents for 22 years. As a loca community family doctor, I valued the graduates
from this program so much that I hired four of them into my old private practice.
I'm excited to contribute to, and work with, the future of Family Medicine - that's you!
After you have a chance to check out our web site, I'd really welcome the
opportunity to answer any of your questions. Please e-mail me at claxtone@cmhc.org.
I hope you enjoy exploring our web site and wish you well in your chosen career.
Ned Claxton, Jr., M.D.
