Rumford Hospital is a critical access hospital, providing comprehensive primary care and sophisticated diagnostic services, including CT scanning, ultrasound and nuclear medicine. The hospital offers medical surgical nursing services, a birthing center, women's health services and ambulatory surgery. Our ‘Swing Bed’ program provides care for patients who need skilled nursing services.  RH also maintains a 24-hour Emergency Department and staffs an Intensive Care Unit.

Through its affiliation with Central Maine Medical Center, RH offers specialty clinics with doctors who specialize in orthopedics, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, neurology, and nephrology. RH also offers an array of education, wellness and prevention services, including LifeStrides (a cardiac rehabilitation program). With the latest diagnostic equipment, a multi-site primary care group practice, and clinical ties to CMMC, Rumford Hospital provides River Valley residents with local access to a wide array of healthcare services.
