Dr. Claxton: In 2005, received ACGME approval for a Rural Track Residency Program (two residents per year for the last two years of residency) at Swift River Healthcare in Rumford, Maine, practices maternity care. Dr. Taylor: Former Chair for the Group on Family for the National Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, Current Co-Chair for the Group on Behavioral Science for the National Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, Faculty Track Coordinator for the Northeast Regional Society of Family Medicine annual meeting, Member-at-Large for the Family Medicine Education Consortium (sponsors of the NESTFM meeting), Director of Behavioral Science, Pre-doctoral Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Core Clerkship Director, New Resident Orientation Coordinator, ReNew Program Instructor (CMMC sponsored program on renewing the healer’s spirit 4 day program + 6 hour post program practicum offered to all CMHC employees), Institutional Review Board Chair at CMMC, Clinical passion centers around caring for families around illness and end of life.
Dr. Cogle: Director of Osteopathic Medical Education, has completed a "Teachers of Tomorrow" faculty development series, Faculty development leader for faculty and resident education about Teaching Styles and Giving/Receiving Feedback, Coordinates outpatient OMT clinics for Osteopathic Interns and Residents, Inpatient Teaching Service coordinator, practices maternity care.
Dr. Kenney: Co-Chair for the Wilderness and International Medicine Program. OMM, Surgery and Cardiology Curriculum Coordinator. Currently working on the initiation of Group Medical Visits. Group Leader for medical missions with the Himalayan Health Exchange in northern India, which is a training site for medical students and residents. Trainer for Domestic Violence Screening Project for medical offices in Maine. Strong interest in integrating preventive, nutritional, and holistic medicine into the curriculum and patient care.
Dr. Melloh: Geriatrics Curriculum Coordinator, Palliative Care, home visits, yoga instructor.
Dr. Picker: Curriculum coordinator for Maternity Care and practices maternity care, Rural Track liaison. Director of Quality Improvement. Completed a year long faculty development program at Duke University. Leadership for National Physicians Alliance.
Dr. Scherr: Curriculum Coordinator, completed year long Faculty Development Fellowship at Duke University, faculty champion for the Contextual Care Curriculum, strong interest in care of Elders, Palliative Care and Hospice, and care of patients with chronic illness.
Dr. Woolever: Medical Director for the outpatient clinic. Instrumental in the introduction of a “TEAMS” concept for the clinic, including staff involvement. Co-Chair for the Wilderness and International Medicine Program. Pediatrics & Emergency Medicine Curriculum Coordinator. Completed year long Faculty Development Fellowship at North Carolina University.
